Sonic journey to a forgotten corner of the Adriatic sea. One of the most remote and naturally preserved Mediterranean islands, called Lastovo is an archipelago offering a glimpse into a quieter time, untouched by the crowds of mass tourism and modern life. Surrounding the main island there are number of islets, rocks, and reefs. Here, you can find yourself feeling like in the ancient times when island were in their most primeval form. Prior to 1991, the military base kept it off-limits to general tourism, thereby aiding in its preservation from the impact of modern life. Today, it is a natural park, with 70% of it covered by dense vegetation and forests. The coastline is predominantly steep, with sharp rocks merging with the sea to create pristine waters.
